As a boy growing up in Newfoundland my family had a summer cabin in a popular weekend getaway area called Salmonier. I would go fishing for mud trout with my father and brother in one of the many ponds surrounding our cabin. Dusk was the best time for fishing, so there were many evening when we were gifted with the wonderful colors of a sunset. This painting represents me memories of fishing in one of those ponds and the pleasant time it was.
